What is a test suite?
A test suite is like a toolbox for software testing. It’s a bunch of test cases, scripts, or a mix of both, put together to give a software application a thorough workout. The goal? Make sure the software does what it’s supposed to and spot any bugs or hiccups along the way.
This is how we do it
Resource allocation
Our test suites are like organized folders for different features in the app. To figure out how long it’ll take to manually test each feature, we look at how many test cases are lined up for it in the suite. Then, we divvy up our resources based on the grand total of test cases for all the features we’re checking and the time we have for testing.
Our goal
At OLIN, our aim is to wrap up full regression testing in a week (that’s our weekly goal) and handle all the test cases for each feature with just two team members putting in a week’s worth of work
